On behalf of the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand, I am truly honored and delighted to welcome all of you to the 48th Annual Meeting of RCOST, which will be held right here in the beautiful city of Pattaya, from October 22nd to 24th, 2026, at PEACH, the Royal Cliff Hotel.
This year is a very special one for us, as we are proud to have United Kingdom as our Guest Nation. It is with great pleasure that we warmly welcome Mr. Mark Bowditch, Immediate Past President 2025-2026. We also extend our warmest greetings to all our United Kingdom colleagues and friends who will join us. The theme of this year’s meeting is: “Essential Points in Orthopaedic Surgery: From Theory to real world impact” It reflects our shared vision — to move forward together into a future where innovation and technology improve the lives of our patients and transform the way we practice orthopaedics.
Before the main congress begins, we have something very special for you. On October 21st, we will host a Cadaveric Workshop by the beach,
with sessions focusing on Shoulder Instability, a high-level Orthopaedic Trauma Masterclass, and Robotic-Assisted Hip & Knee Arthroplasty. With world-class instructors, hands-on techniques,
and the relaxing beachside atmosphere, I promise — it’s going to be both educational and enjoyable
We’ve prepared this meeting with great care, and with warm Thai hospitality at heart.
We want you to not only gain new knowledge and make new connections, but also to feel at home here in Thailand.
So once again, welcome to Pattaya. Welcome to RCOST 2026. We look forward to an exciting and inspiring few days together.
Sawasdee krub, and welcome.
Dear Fellow Colleagues and Friends,
It is an honour to welcome you to the 48th Annual Meeting of RCOST, along with BOA and 46th Annual Meeting of Asean Orthopaedic Association (AOA), in 2026. This year, we are collaborating to explore the theme: “Essential Points in Orthopaedic Surgery: From Theory to Real-World Practice”. The transfer of knowledge and experience will advance orthopaedic care across the Pacific.
This year’s theme not only emphasises the latest research and advances in orthopaedic surgery, but also how it applies in real-world settings. In a dynamic environment, it is crucial to be adaptable to balance scientific innovation with practical care for our patients. Hence, let us unite to develop solutions that shape the future of orthopaedic care and surgery.
Looking forward to engaging and sharing insightful knowledge and experiences with you guys!
Ismail Hadisoebroto Dilogo
President of ASEAN Orthopaedic Association 2025-2026
Dear Esteemed Colleagues,
It is my distinct honor and pleasure to announce the upcoming annual RCOST conference, held in joint collaboration with the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA). This partnership presents a valuable opportunity for us to exchange cutting-edge scientific knowledge and advancements with leading nations across the globe.
The core theme of our meeting focuses on the pragmatic application of orthopaedic science in real-life patient care, striving to deliver the utmost benefit to those we serve.
We are well aware that the modern healthcare landscape is rich with sophisticated technologies, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which demonstrably improves the accuracy of treatment and minimizes errors in patient management. However, such technological leaps often come with a substantial cost, imposing a potential financial burden on society.
Consequently, the integration of these scientific advancements into daily practice requires careful consideration, rigorous evaluation, and appropriate filtration to ensure optimal suitability and maximum utility.
This year's conference is designed to empower every participant to adapt contemporary knowledge judiciously to real-world patient treatment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness, tailored to our current circumstances. I sincerely hope that this gathering will yield the greatest possible benefit for all attendees and, by extension, contribute significantly to the modernization of our public healthcare system.
With sincere regards,
Professor Piya Pinsornsak
Chairman
